Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Airport Map & Layout

Suvarnabhumi Airport (commonly called Bangkok Airport or BKK) opened in 2006 to extend the capacity of the Don Mueang Airport (DMK), which later replaced it for all international flights. Suvarnabhumi hosts both international and domestic flights and is the 17th busiest airport in the world.

There are a total of 7 floors in the airport and 2 ground floors. The terminal floor layout and details are as follows:

Level 1: Bus & Transportation Lobby

Level 1 of the Bangkok Airport is where you can find taxis and buses, along with connecting and shuttle buses that take you from the airport to the city center and other nearby cities such as Bell Bus that takes you to Pattaya. Here, you will also find Thai food courts with restrooms nearby the area as well.

Level 2: Arrivals

This floor of the Suvarnabhumi Airport is for arrivals and transfer flights, both domestic and international. All the passengers entering this area will need to clear the immigration first before claiming their baggage. Outside the immigration area, you will find a huge waiting area and some transportation options such as the official airport limousine service, hotel transfers, and more.

  • Association of Thai Travel Agents
  • Official Hotel Reservation
  • Mobile Phone Service (from Thai mobile/cellphone companies AIS and DTAC)

Level 3: Meeting Points & Restaurants

This floor is the meeting point for passengers before departure. It’s also where you will find most of the international and local restaurant chains such as McDonald’s, S&P, Black Canyon Coffee, and more. Some shops, lounges, and facilities such as ATMs and Banks are also available.

Level 4: Departures

This floor is for domestic and international flight departures consisting of immigration checkpoints, premium lounges, airline offices, customs, and shops.

Level 5 & 6: Administration Offices

Levels 5 and 6 of the Bangkok Airport are where you will find administration offices for Thai Airlines and Star Alliance members, help desks, some lounges, and ATM facilities.

Level 7: View Point

This floor is the viewpoint of the airport

Ground Floors

Grond floors of the Suvarnabhumi Airport are where you can find the Airport Rail Link (ARL), train terminals, and baggage rail system.
